Animals
Humans are born with natural curiosity and animals always peak it in us. Even in babies when they are just learning about the world around them, trying to grapple quite literally with everything that surrounds them, they are amused by beautiful and amazing animals. So, don't just give them an introduction to animals in the form of a cute stuffed toy, but also let them see the real ones - from a safe distance obviously - to allow them to be amazed at nature.
Here are a few interesting facts about animals that your baby will surely learn the names of while going through - and mostly playing with - a mini animal board book meant for tiny toddling readers. You can learn along and surely tell them these interesting facts; making up stories based on your wildest (no pun intended) imagination.
Bear
Bears have better sense of smell than dogs.
Camel
Camels have three eyelids and two rows of eyelashes to prevent sand from entering their eyes.
Chimpanzee
Chimpanzees cannot swim due to the structure and density of their bodies, despite their habitat being near water.
Deer
Deer are very good swimmers and can jump as high as 10 feet.
Donkey
A donkey is stronger than a horse of the same size.
Elephant
The tusks that elephants have are actually enlarged incisor teeth, which start growing when they are around two years old and never stop growing throughout their lives.
Fox
Foxes can even hear a watch ticking 40 yards away as they have excellent hearing.
Giraffe
Spots on Giraffes are like human fingerprints since they all have different patterns of spots.
Horse
Within hours after birth, horses are able to run.
Lion
A lion's roar can be heard from up to 8 kilometers or 5 miles away.
Rabbit
Only 15 percent of rabbit babies survive more than a year.
Squirrel
Squirrels don't dig up all the nuts they bury, which end up giving us more trees.
Tiger
Tigers have three feet long tail to help them balance when they make a tight turn.
Zebra
Due to their strong survival instincts, zebras are less friendly to humans and cannot be domesticated, unlike horses and donkeys.
